Ascension!!!

One morning, I wake up to find,
the first sight that meets my eyes,
You have all left us behind.
Without tears or good-byes.

In our minds we see,
the ways we have traversed.
The shadows remind us,
of the obstacles we have crossed.

A breeze soothes me,
and on the breeze we hear,
before it fades and flee,
Voices past, in our blind ear.

And with sadness, we gaze upon
the road you have taken,
and it seems you have moved on,
and left us, forsaken.

But the memories still live,
of all the good times.
And my mind I sift and sieve,
to find shining dimes.

You inspired us,
to smile without end,
to work without fuss,
and to never bend.

You made us believe,
that we could be better,
we could create and concieve,
and effect things of matter.

We will never forget,
all the memories we made,
and as the days set,
A longing that will never fade

It stirs our hearts,
hurts like broken shards,
sticks like darts,
and fall like a pack of cards.

And this is adieu,
leaving a part of our minds,
a landscape without a view,
but with stronger bonds that bind.
