Lift up your head,
and look at the sky.
Let your wings spread
soar up and fly!!!
Use your wings,
clipped as they are.
Forget all your past flings
and run away far.
Forget all the stones
that others threw.
Forget the wear in your bones
and look to the ones that flew.
Forget the poison that people spoke,
forget the pain that you endured,
forget the mad rush of your flock,
and forget about the ones that fled.
Broken and bruised your heart may be,
but never let go off the hope in it.
Confused and tired your mind may be,
but never let go off the passion in it.
Though gloomy may be the sky,
and far may be the distance,
shed a tear, but never cry,
go on without a backward glance.
Never turn your head and look back,
never let doubts be born
never slow your wings and slack,
for the flight must go on....
my last poem from NIT DGP....one of hope i believe....albeit a gloomy one!!!

The Sem....before I Leave....
Its nearly 3 in the morning, and sleep seems to elude me....soon the sun will dawn on the last day of my stay in Durgapur, in a long while....symbolic, for the fat that I will have finished half my college life...and I see and say so many Good-byes, I can't but help think back on the past few months...from the time I left my home, to come back to college.....
It all began with another 9 pointer (something which I did not believe I deserved, then....and which I still don't think I deserve!!!)....and then the last minute rush to decide on the electives. The sem began with classes, as usual, being the bare minimum they could be, without the college actually shutting down!!!!
January: A month of lethargy, with the SF @ IIT KGP towards the end providing an awesome experience!!!!...Felt for the first time, how big a college fest could be!!! Had an awesome time there...bunking over in my cousin's room....the late night escapades, the hauntings, the walks!!!! Will definitely go back next time around :)
February: The Month of the Fests; a college fest nearly every week...enjoyed Mukti-esp the gaming and the laser show...enjoyed Motor Z for the H.A.W.X matches!!!...enjoyed aarohna; for all the prize money we won!!! But most of all, enjoyed the night-outs @ the Printers for Deja Vu!!! especially when there were 3 or more people in the cramped space.
March: Academics??!!!...finally someone got around to taking some classes, and I started attending them ( by then it had been too late for my internals, but I didnt know that then!)...and then came the auditions!!!!...and was that another completely new experience...actually deciding on who would make the cut, and who wouldn't....working out the group dynamics...sorting out the forms....everyhting about it was great. And of course, there was Recs...went for only Breathe, and loved it!!!
April: The Month of Revival; the last month, the month where I worked like never before, rushing headlong into everything...it was as if I had a death-wish!!! But then, the end result was worth it!!!...especially all the praises :P. And then came the treats, the farewells, the good-byes ( still going on...one last round left)...
And some where in between it all came the RP, the freshers, Holi, the class tests, the Sem Exams, the assignments, the gaming nights, the treats, the dutches...and a whole lot of other stuff...a whirlwind of experiences, moments, tastes, falls, emotions!!!!
I learnt a lot of stuff this sem....starting off with how to gain other's trust, how to open up and more importantly, how to trust in others....made a lot of new friends, strenghtened old 'ships', saw some 'ships' take sail in new directions, saw some 'ships' sink...and some arise...and of course...the parting of the ways, the final adieus....the tears that never fell...the words that were never said.....
